#121 Party Animal...

When we met Joe to discuss ideas for his wish, he did not hesitate. You see, Joe loves animals. There is a small farm near his retirement home, and he wanted to spend the morning there. But Joe also loves a good party. So , post-farm visit, there needed to be a party!   

When the day came, it was cold. But that did not slow Joe down. Lisa & Dan of SwitzerLand Farm welcomed us with open arms, as they know Joe well. They were thrilled to show off their horses, miniature ponies, silkie chickens, and even a peacock! When we left the farm, Joe invited them both to join his party!  

When Joe walked into the Western-themed party room, he requested that he and his family come wearing their cowboy hats and matching shirts that read “Been Doing Cowboy Stuff All Day!” We ate, we took photos, and we laughed and laughed.

Even though he is nearing the end, Joe’s spirit and enthusiasm throughout the Wish, from our initial meeting to planning it to the day, was palpable. This party animal really did give it all he’s got!
