Irene's wish was to be reunited with her daughter. The problem was that there was 2000 km between them, with Chantell living in Winnipeg and Irene in Collingwood. This is when they reached out to The Living Wish Foundation.
Although Chantell was working on a plan to make the long drive in her car, there were concerns, given how severe the winter had been, as well as how fragile her mom’s health was. We secured plane tickets to get Chantell here quickly and safely by contacting our friends at Give a Mile. Wish volunteers connected the Mother & daughter to support and services in the area, which were in place to reunite them and guide them through one of the most challenging chapters they had ever faced.
